Land Of Smiles
Casting the mind back to my inaugural trip to “City of Angels”almost one and a half decades ago, I guess not many young lad like me today would ever wanted to give it a short when decision was made in split second.
The snap decision that mustered in real has not pre-planned, pre-booked, or pre-arranged .You can see me now in the bakery’s kitchen , the next moment I am already on the jet plane and in the twinkling of an eye I was sipping a glass of Singha beer in the heart of Bangkok City at Patpong Strip Clubs. World renowned for its notorious red light district serving the G-I during nam-war. Obviously, no-money, no-honey! “Bee-kini” girls are all around, instantly baiting theirs preys (male only) once sitting on the bar stool. “Look, our m/honey is here” The girls would come to you like a swarm of bee, sweet-talked ,perfectly disguised themselves as they came from North-EastProvince-E-San, need to exchange flesh for money in order to feed theirs sick-parents or siblings back home. Nothing is peculiar in this part of the world. After all, you still can have fun without immersing yourself into these angels world. The go-go bars can still get you going, enjoying Thai “ah-han or food ,the best is in Thai Kingdom, the aromatic flavour is just there. The surroundings, peoples , the language – alien to most of us if we dont speak, these are simply authentic. No other than here!
It has been countless time since visiting this city somehow the charm of this place is still beckoning and hardly faded away. When will be my final visit to the Land Of Smiles? I can’t find you the answer. My mind is still juggling. By the time I leave the state-of-the art Suvarnabhumi Airpot, I may have reckoned the number of hour or nights that left for me to spend for this chapter of my trip.
